Terms of use
These terms cover this website, the free tools on it, and the TEKNIK text messaging (SMS) program. TEKNIK is a trade name of Teknik Business Consulting Group, LLC. These terms do not govern managed services — that is your signed agreement with us, and it takes precedence over anything here.
The free tools
Our email security checker and Microsoft 365 self-check are provided at no cost and without warranty. Specifically:
- They are indicative, not an audit. The email checker reads public DNS records at a point in time. The Microsoft 365 check scores answers you supply yourself. Neither inspects your systems, and neither is a substitute for a professional assessment.
- A good result does not mean you are secure, and it does not mean you are compliant with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, CMMC or anything else. No automated check can determine that.
- Results may be incomplete. DKIM selectors, for one, cannot be enumerated from DNS, so we probe common ones and say so when we find nothing.
- Act on the results at your discretion. Changing DNS or tenant configuration can disrupt mail flow and sign-in. Understand a change before you make it, or ask us.
Acceptable use
Use the tools on domains you own or are authorised to assess. Don't attempt to use them to probe infrastructure you have no right to test, don't automate against them, and don't try to circumvent rate limits. We may block access that looks abusive.
Paid reports
- Paid reports are delivered immediately on successful payment and are for your own organisation's internal use.
- Payment is processed by Stripe under their terms. We never see your card details.
- Because the report is delivered instantly and in full, we offer refunds at our discretion. If something is wrong with what you received, email info@tnbcg.com and we will make it right.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
Program. The TEKNIK text messaging program sends two kinds of messages, each with its own opt-in: (1) service and account messages — replies to your enquiry, appointment and on-site visit reminders, support ticket updates and account notices; and (2) marketing messages — occasional offers, security alerts, event invitations and news about our services.
How you join. You join by checking the matching box on our website contact form (or another TEKNIK form that shows this same disclosure), or by texting a keyword we publish. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from TEKNIK at the mobile number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies. Service messages depend on your activity with us; marketing messages are typically no more than 4 per month. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You can also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT or STOP ALL, or ask us to stop by emailing info@tnbcg.com or calling 305-419-9992. We will send one message confirming you have been unsubscribed and then no further messages unless you opt in again. Opting out of marketing messages does not opt you out of service messages unless you ask us to stop both.
Help. Reply HELP to any message, email info@tnbcg.com or call 305-419-9992.
Carriers. Supported carriers include major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your number. You confirm you are the account holder or authorised user of the mobile number you provide. If you change or give up that number, please tell us or reply STOP from it so we don't text the next owner.
Privacy. We do not sell or share your mobile number or opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy policy for how we handle your information.
Our content
The text, design, code and graphics on this site belong to TEKNIK. You may read, print and share pages for your own business purposes. You may not republish substantial portions or present them as your own.
Third-party names and logos shown on this site belong to their respective owners and appear to identify our partnerships. Their appearance does not imply their endorsement of these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEKNIK is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this website, its free tools or the text messaging program. The website and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”.
Links out
We link to third-party resources we think are genuinely useful. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If we materially change the SMS terms, we will tell subscribers by text before the change applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
